These are a few of my favorite things:)

Another year has gone by and OH my god so much has happened over this year! I'll get to the must haves in a second but first I must get to alllll these strange, wonderful, depressing, new, old and exciting things that have happened to me over this past year. I like to call a spade a spade and if everyone was REALLY that chipper I wouldn’t have been in line at the Target pharmacy today watching a woman nearly strangle a pharmacist cause she was 3 days early for her Xanax and they wouldn’t fill her up her script. She was two seconds from going Michael Douglas style in the movie Falling Down. Tis the Season?

So lets see-- what has happened in Glammyland over this past year. I moved as many of you know. I LOVE not being in the land that is just a "few short steps" (as they say in Edgewater) to a village of albino imbreeders (Jackson Whites). I used to live in "The Grande"in Riverdale. So yes it feels fabulous to be HERE in my actual element:) in Edgewater and far far FAR away from people with shot guns hanging out of pickup trucks-- CLINTON ROAD BABY! hehe

So Ill let this go ahead and be just a big fat long REALISTIC blog:) Moving is WEIRD. I keep having this reoccurring dream that I wake up in my old bedroom at my parents house and the glam fairy never happened! The Christmas season-- for me at least-- just brings out SO many emotions. I went to the downtown Louboutin boutique the other day to pick up some blue suede boots and I SWEAR I was the only person there buying shoes for myself. It was CHOCK FULL of guys buying shoes for girls. So that, in tandem with every song ending with some form of bells made me drink their champagne a LITTLE bit faster than I normally would. I digress.I don’t know if YOU all know already butttt I actually have a new upcoming show on the STYLE network! Yep that’s right. Sit tight because in March 2010 (3 months) the Glamster is coming to a screen near you! Its chock full of just what it takes to stay fabulous in Jersey, glitz, glamour, love life-- you name it they filmed it:) I cant give out TOO many details yet but I will tell you that it was the BEST time of my life filming this show and I cant wait for another season! I mean yes-- 18 hours a day 7 days a week isn’t really my style butttt I DID IT FOR YOU GUYS! hehe. And, well, Maybe a new pair of Louboutins;) something to add to my shrineSo yes this year has been filled with SO many changes-- moving, crazy working, magazines, photo shoots, video, me on video, just SO much. We even got to do our photo shoot with Timothy White for the billboards and buses to promote the show! YES I said TIMOTHY WHITE! Author and god! He did that awesome book Hollywood Pinups! Rarely am I star-struck but to be photographed by Tim? I cant imagine anything more exciting.Soooo I know my writing is all scattered and rere-esque but that’s what blogs are about-- that scream of consciousness, Jack Kerouac + rhinestones (in my case) type of writing haha.

Christmas spirit? What is that exactly. Not a Grinch by an stretch of the imagination but the Facebook status updates every five seconds about how cozy and comfy everybody is with their Beau around the holidays can leave little single Glamster upset. Nothing a little Veuve and Benadryl cant fix... haha.

Filming is WEIRD. You literally are removed from your life and without Miss Nicole-- Glam Manager and my PA-- I would be lost. She truly kept and still keeps the Glam Machine running at capacity and during the time I was gone she proved that her wings have more glitter exploding out of them than someone accidentally setting off a bottle rocket in the sparkly side of an arts and crafts store-- so like I’m accepting an Emmy I WOULD LIKE TO THANK NICOLE for keeping The Glam Fairy what it is! I love you my little Glam God!So yes, newly promoted GLAMMY MANAGER Nicole has been keeping this team operating beyond capacity! And that being said we have now branched out The Glam Fairy and Nicole, in addition to being the Glammy Manager, has come up with The Glam Fairy EVENTS! I don’t know if any of y'all know but Miss mini Glam has years of experience planning events with brides and celebrities-- so stay tuned for our new branch of operation that Nicole will be the chief executive on! I believe (not set in stone yet) that she may be swirling her magic event wand at our NEW YEARS EVE glamification soiree! So not only will you have the opportunity to leave Glam Headquarters dazzling head to toe but you will be inside a Glam Events wonderland where Nicole will be showing off just how Glamalicious she can make your special day! So yes ladies-- stay tuned for some serious sparkle that can turn your wedding into a storm of sparkle and dazzle! In a totally non superhero way haha I digress again... let me just start singing and maybe I'll tell you that "these are a few of my favorite things..."La Mer! My most favorite skin care product in the world! Its made in tandem with the lunar cycle! And it was manufactured wayyy before you Edward Cullin fanatics started taking over the universe hahah. Long story short this masterpiece of a skin cream has kept my skin hydrated and feeling fabulous for nearly two years straight now so I would DEFINITELY recommend the Crème de la Mer. You can pick it up at Saks, Neiman, or online. A couple extra dollars more than what you would usually spend but I PROMISE you it is well worth the investment.PRIMER PRIMER PRIMER! Sooo being on the show I was sent a bunch of stuff from Laura Gellar and let me tell you my Mercier primer has taken a back seat to Gellar's primer called SPACKLE! It literally shuts down your face from producing oil, sweat, anything! Simply massage it into the skin and let it set for about two minutes before applying foundation and let me tell you-- this gives your foundation longevity beyond longevity. God sent Primer.I like to pair that primer with my new favorite fixative-- makeup forever mist and fix. Spray this all over your makeup after your done doing your makeup and OMG does this keep your makeup on. -- And don’t worry guys its non communegenic and non acnegenic which means its cant harbor or produce bacteria. So you can do these two products daily (the primer and spray) and you wont have a break out or reaction:) I did all the guinea pig work for you. As for the steps in between WELLLLLL wedding season has slowed down and filming is done so I actually have a class SEASON! I have TONS of options for classes but my new favorite thing is the three hour private. Group classes are great and fun but if you want to work at your own pace and really learn how to turn your brushes into magic wands that come meet with me for some one on one Glam Training! Email Nicole@theglamfairy.com for all the details:)

NEXT-- Okay so there is a perfume line sold at the Plaza hotel called Krigler. They have been around since 1904. It is this tiny little perfumer shop and my heart beat still I have never experienced a scent like their #10 in my life. I have a spa cabinet to shelves FILLED with fragrance and this new child will be getting the royal treatment and staying on top because its just TOO glorious to not keep spritzing yourself with! If you want a fabulous fragrance for you wedding day that will leave you feeling absolutely dazzling than try this puppy out. www.krigler.com And for a quick history tid bit-- and a cute story behind their signature fragrance #12 Chateau Krigler 12: One of the most "known" and famous Fragrance. It's made with Almond, Rose, Cypres, it has been know for been a fragrance offered to the famous Grace Kelly when she arrived in Monte Carlo and met the love of her life. And since we are uptown I must AGAIN give props to my dream team of both color and cut-- Zoe and Roberto at Bumble and Bumble uptown. Zoe outdoes herself every time I go in for my color. She does ALL the blonde's in Elle magazine, has a huge celebrity clientele, and is booked up the wazoo for her absolutely amazing TALENT as a colorist! Every time I leave I feel like a million bucks! Endless amount of cappuccino, a full service cafe, chairs that give you the most incredible back massage when you get shampooed. And of course three levels of the most talented and experienced hair artists Manhattan has to offer. Butttt-- only go to Zoë for color and Roberto for cut because they truly are the best! Andddd don’t forget to tell them Glammy sent you!

More fun stuff that is my flav:

Philosophy RED VELVET 3 in 1. I literally want to eat my arm off in the shower it is that fabulous.

Bumble and Bumble Prep spray-- it makes your hair easy to come through after the shower and really allows whatever products you choose to put in your hair for that day work at 110% because the hair is PREPPED (like the bottle says)

Givenchy's new mascara called phenomen-- and omg why because it truly is phenomenal! Its this little ball at the end of a wand and it is sheer magic when it comes to giving your lashes incredible amounts of volume.

Okayyyy and some more stuff. There is this nail place in Edgewater called Muse. You are talking to a girl here that has been to every uppity fancy schmancy place for pedicure's etc. but let me tell you I NEVER have been or will be into fake nails and if you are like me THAN GO HERE NOW! This awesome woman Donna owns the place. Its at 20 Dempse Ave in Edgewater NJ 201 969 2200 and they have this stuff called color gel. This specific gel is offered no where else and her friend custom makes these colored gels and it basically is just a thin layer that is baked on top of your natural nail and does not MOVE for like three weeks! Its like the manicure that doesn’t go away cause the nails aren’t long at all just as long as your natural nail. Andddd its only 45 bucks! You have to go like NOW!

And saving the best for last I have a new friend Gina! She owns this fabulous boutique called See Saw in Tenafly NJ. Gina stylized nearly half of my outfits for the show(Of course the other half are done by Alina from Posche Boutique-- See my blog below for more details about Posche) In addition, Gina (owner of See Saw and Stylist) stylized my two outfits to promo the show-- just the most fabulous cocktails dresses ever! AGAIN these photos were shot by world famous photographer Timothy White! Timothy's book "Hollywood Pinups" is by far my most favorite book in the world so being shot by Timothy left me nothing short of Starstruck. And Gina's wardrobe expertise left me feeling nothing short of FABULOUS in front of Timothy's lens. I know I said who he was above... but I am such a fan I think ill just repeat his name in every paragraph. Nevertheless, aside from having some seriously awesome clothes she has the most AMAZING custom jewelry ever! This stuff goes through like three or four proofs. The tear drop earings I have above are one of a kind and went through several proofs. I somehow managed to incorporate them into every outfit they are just so fabulous! She helps create the designs and makes sure that its a true reflection of her style ad the style of her clients. I got about five pieces of Jewelry from her (in addition to a rolling rack of awesome clothes) and MAY I say that this stuff is truly a show stopper! You have to stop by and see all the new fabulous stuff she has! Here is me in a few jewlery pieces from her place in the above pics! And Please stay tuned for my upcoming stylizing page where you can see which pieces of my Glamster wardrobe are from where, who stylized which outfit, and how you can get them:)

K so I am excited that I got to share all this fun new stuff with you! There is SO much more I have to share with you in the upcoming months. So please stay tuned for all the fun stuff coming to you in Glammyland.

Smoochadoochers.
